The international road races "The princess Maha Chakri
Sirindhorn’s Cup Tour of Thailand 2020" has got news dates after Union
Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has sent a new competition schedule to choose
from 3 time periods. "General Decha" said that the executive
committee of Thai Cycling Association (TCA) has
discussed with the technical department and various parties concerned to
resolve on October 6-16 in this year, because it has the least impact and is
consistent with the competition with other neighboring countries in the same
region. While Thai riders will have the
opportunity to compete in the footsteps of the professional riders of the UCI
team again, the competition “Home Cycling, Combating COVID-19” for the 4th
time, have the people flocked to watch on Facebook of Thai PBS over 400,000
views. The results of this time were that "Puchong - Varinthorn" of
Thai national riders, have won the championships.

General Decha Hemkasri, President of the TCA, revealed that
the TCA, as the organizer of the International road race both for Men and women
Distance Cycling Tour "The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup Tour of
Thailand 2020" received an urgent consultation from the Road Department
from the UCI with regards to a new schedule of "Tour of Thailand
2020"mwhich was originally postponed from April 1-10, 2020 to August 1-10
due to the spread of the COVID-19 that affected the whole world.

General Decha said that based on the consideration of the
UCI and the race organizers in each region, the road department of the UCI has
proposed three new racing periods in October 2020 to the TCA as a way to
select. In each period, riders can
travel across the country to participate in competitions in other countries in
the same region which will benefit the travel expenses of each team. Each period that the UCI has sent to choose
from is as follows: the first session was on October 6-16, the second one was
on October 20-29 and the third one was on October 22-31.

"According to the 3 options of the road plan set by the
UCI, the executive committee, having already consulted with the technical
department and various parties involved in the race, therefore, has resolved to choose a new race period for
Tour of Thailand on October 6-16, because it has the least impact, and at the
same time it is more consistent with the competition more important than other
periods. By this new schedule, the Men’s Tour will be on October 6-11 which
will begins after the competition of Tour of Malaysia ended 2 days, while

the Tour of Guangxi Tour, one day race of UCI Women WorldTour in China. And
aside from the Tour of Guangzhou, China has also confirmed that Tour of
Zhongming Island which before this, is still a problem in UCI Women’s
WorldTour, will definitely organize the competition between October 23-25. In
this regard, Thai riders will have the opportunity to compete with professional
riders of the professional team of once again," said General Decha.
However, General Decha has added that the TCA has already
sent a letter confirming the decision to postpone the date of "Tour of
Thailand 2020" to the UCI. At the
same time, the TCA is in the process of adjusting its calendar for the period
after unlocking travel and outdoor activities according to government policies
again. It is expected to be officially announced by May 15. This, when all is complete, will be reported to the

Road around Rattanakosin Island, including routes in the north part such as Doi
Inthanon, Doi Suthep, routes in southern part in Surat Thani or Phuket and a
specific competition registered in Thailand. I, therefore, have sent a letter
to Mr. David Lappartient, President of the UCI, to help coordinate with the
Zwift. The President of the UCI has informed the TCA to contact Zwift's top

come to ride online cycling with this Zwift platform so much. And he also said
that he asked the TCA to respond within 8 weeks to start this dicussion.
